that was actually why I asked about the Playstation above - I have a friend who has sworn by his VUE for years. I think - if you had a PS system - it might be the easiest to use or move over to. Could pick up a used one now for pretty cheap. We ran it on our PS3 for a while, but it didn't work well with the VPN we were using at the time and haven't used it in a couple of years. Good suggestion.

That is a big misconception about Vue. You do not need a Playstation at all. I know there are PS Vue apps for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc. I currently use a Nvidia Shield(Android TV) which can be a little pricey but very good speed. As far as a VPN, PS Vue usually doesn't like them as they end an error message that you are not watching in the zip code in which you account was set up.
