Popeye's Chicken Sandwich

you get a pass.
what in the fork are cheese 'curds' ?

I'm not sure but I think it's translates to "manna from heaven" and is described on Wikipedia: "Cheese curds are made from fresh pasteurized milk in the process of creating cheese when bacterial culture and rennet are added to clot the milk.[1] After the milk clots it is then cut into cubes; the result is a mixture of whey and curd. This mixture is then cooked and pressed to release the whey from the curd, creating the final product of cheese curd.[1]"

there's nothing I've ever eaten that has quite the same consistency. It's described as a 'rubbery squeak' and that's pretty close to it. It's delicious. Fun to eat.. different.

And really fresh cheddar cheese curds are a damn treat...

We get them from the Cheese Haus in Mildmay, Ontario, in the heart of Ontario Dairy Country. Incredible cheeses. Highly recommend the next time you're passing through Bruce County, Ontario.

but, since this is the Popeye's sandwich thread.... blogTO just ran this a few days ago:

https://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/20...res-toronto-dont-have-new-chicken-sandwiches/
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a subsidiary of the Toronto-based holding company Restaurant Brands International, is inexplicably withholding its immensely popular new chicken sandwich from customers in Toronto.

Customers have, predictably, been quite upset to learn this upon arriving at local Popeyes locations in search of the internet-famous menu item.
