Coach Pete Update: Not Good on Davenport. Some on Hill and Bridgewater, Some Saints Good News also

Hey Ti Rider! Really good stuff! Thanks for the insights. I agree with you on Brees. As long as Brees can play near the level he has the last few years, as competitive as he is, I can't see him stepping down until he owns every major passing record and at least one more SB ring!
I think everyone in sports media has penciled in that this is Brees retirement year. So, it's no secret.

Brees had an interview talking about how at 40. Recovery is getting longer and longer. So, I think anyone saying Drew is retiring in 2019 isn't shocking. Granted, his cap for next year at 15 million is still odd and probably needs to be reworked.

Always could pull a reverse and decide against retiring. Play 1 more year to outlast Brady. Extend 2-3 years and work a more manageable dead cap situation than the one he gots now.

I believe that 15 million next year will change, tho. It doesn't make sense knowing Loomis could fix that easily.
