Coach Pete Update: Not Good on Davenport. Some on Hill and Bridgewater, Some Saints Good News also
I like Coach Pete. I think he is Swimmer's altar ego at work( aka imaginary friend), but he has some good takes. Unfortunately for people who don't understand what it's like having to rehab from a big toe injury like Davenport's, there's really not a lot the guy can do to rehab until the thing is ruled completely healed. Because if he does, he stands the chance of aggravating it to the point he's back to square one. So if a 24 year old guy comes in 15 pounds over weight & healed up from his wounds. what do you do? You give him an extra 400 yards of grass drills & 6 extra gasers a day for three weeks & before you know it, this guy is back at playing weight & ready to kick butt & take names. People really need to lay off of Davenport until the regular season starts anyway. He was having an excellent rookie campaign until the injury. Once the regular season starts & he begins to be a no show there is plenty of time to beat this guy up for not doing his best.
