So you want the Saints to go away from a guy who catches over 80% of his targeted passes?

I appreciate your post so i wasn't being defensive. Please don't take it that way. I am thinking yaw yaw who wrote this article needs to get fever checked. But in the case in which you just asked the question: A) you can't catch it if it aint making it to you. B) that slant that Drew underthrew to Mike before the CALL. Who else in the world would you have wanted that ball going to? If he catches that we're running out the clock & kicking the field goal. But I can guarantee Mr. I might, or might not catch the ball aint doin it. At this point in his career if one still refers to it as that, he's about two things, self preservation & cashing one more pay check.

I see this article was posted about 8 hours ago. The same guy had another article a few days ago going over all of the potential targets we should put opposite MT. I can see the point he is trying to make, but without anyone stepping up, it doesn't make any sense to go away from MT. A team may catch on and potentially sellout to double cover or bracket MT because they know our WR2s are suspect at best. It would be nice to have someone that could make them pay if/when that day comes. Is it TQS? I'm not sure he can't stay healthy. Maybe it is one of these UDFAs that are being developed. We haven't had the best luck trading for or signing via FA TEs or WRs. SP does a better job of developing guys for his system which is why I believe it might be one of the guys already on the team who ascends to that role. Even if we do get that 2nd guy, I'd still feed it to MT until that wasn't an option anymore.

An X factor is Cook after he got his bell rung last game. Maybe that's what he needed to step up his game, but he was a lot better after it then the previous games where he was borderline a liability out there.
