From just a raw physical talent standpoint, Davenport is probably the most gifted DE I've seen for the Saints. He has the freakish size/speed we've seen from players like Julius Peppers and Mario Williams. The question was whether or not he could take those natural gifts and apply them to the field. I totally agree. I was critical of him earlier in the season, but he has highly impressed me these last 4 games. And, as I keep harping on, that spin move he showed in the last game was absolutely amazing. He just keeps getting better. He is becoming the complete package. He's even good against setting the edge against the run. Now, he is adding moves to his pass rushing repertoir. Impressive.
