Their was a comment by Payton that was reported during the game yesterday that may have been missed by some people. Everyone is talking about Brees returning this week as though he will be starting and that does not appear to be the plan.

According to the report from Payton, Brees would be available and that would allow Taysom to play a bigger role in the offense. So Bridgewater would start and Brees would be available if TB was injured.

I heard it. I just don't believe him. Why would he go and tip his hand that Drew will be playing this week when he doesn't have to? Let AZ game plan for what we've installed for Teddy and put Brees out there. I also think their sideline reporter could have misunderstood what he was saying. Hill can play just as many more snaps with TB as the backup as he could with Drew sitting on the sideline in uniform.

Brees himself says he hopes everything goes well this week and they'll take it from there. I don't think it makes any sense to leave you FHOF QB on the sidelines if there's no chance of further injuring himself and he is fully capable of being himself.
