It is. DO NOT FRY TURKEYS INSIDE ON A DECK OR IN A GARAGE.

Fry them outside over grass or sand. Make sure there is no nearby dry vegetation. Keep a 5 gallon bucket of sand nearby just in case.

Do not try to hose it out and make sure to never let your grease get too hot or overfill it and make it spill over the edge.

FIRST THINGS FIRST. Have a class “F”, fire extinguisher close by and properly tested for use!

A 5 gallon bucket of sand? Trust me, if a fire errupts, no one is going to get remotely close to the fire, to throw handfuls of sand over the fire. Once a fire has started, grab the extinguisher and PASS. Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep.
