He’s an interesting one. He has played well, has a certain swagger you want on D, at least I do. Plays nasty. Hits hard. But can’t stay on a team. My brother loved him (Skins fan) and I’ve watched a lot of him over the years. Idk why he doesn’t stick as he is very talented.
The only thing I see in common with most of the teams he's been on is they've consistently been bottom-tier teams with shaky or questionable leadership at best, whether it'd be at the HC position or front office.
2013: Texans (2-14) - started 10 games
2014: Texans (9-7) - started 12 games
2015:
Buccaneers (6-10) - primarily played special teams with 21.7% of ST snaps to only 10.1% defensive snaps
Cardinals (13-3) - promoted from practice squad after Tyrann Mathieu went on IR, only played in four games and started 1
2016: Cardinals (7-8-1) - started 12 games, had 3 INT and a FF
2017: Redskins (7-9) - started all 16 games, 4 INT and a FF
2018: Redskins (7-9) - started 15 games, 4 INT and 3 FF
2019:
Cardinals (4-9-1) - started 4 games before being released, Cardinals went 0-3-1
Raiders (6-8) - signed when the Raiders were 5-4, started 3 games, played in 4, Raiders went 1-3 after signing him
If I were him, I wouldn't have been very happy on struggling teams either. Thankfully we're presently in a far better position than every one of those teams above except maybe the 2015 Cardinals which were a solid unit that year.
I also notice that like Janoris Jenkins, he's never played in a playoff game. Something we can provide both of them with.
