The Saints signed S DJ Swearinger and released S T.J. Green
Oh yeah? well what does PFF say? lol
One thing is for sure. Coach P don't put up with no crap. But even if Sean don't get him in line, one of our locker room leaders will whack him with their crutches.
Hahaha, I don't have access to PFF but I do remember him making a handful of plays against us. Enough for him to be mildly annoying. :hihi:
And absolutely, how strong our leadership under Payton is the reason why I think we're making these moves that in any other year we'd likely never even consider. They were frustrated with their situations and grew tired of losing and we could use players of their skill sets with the recent rash of injuries we've had.
Same with Suggs who we also put a claim in for and Kansas City got, although he's never really been a "problem child" and could've used a veteran presence at off that weak side end with Davenport going down. Another crazy thing is Davenport and Okafor both went down the same week and us and the Chiefs both went after the same player to play in their absences.
One funny thing about us claiming Janoris Jenkins though is the day he was waived, I was listening to Strief and Deuce on WWL and a few callers were asking about the likelihood of us claiming him and Strief was
very adamant that there was no possible way we'd claim him due to character concerns. I understood where he was coming from (and I was a bit doubtful myself) and I love Strief but he definitely has a little egg on his face after that one. But there's nothing wrong with that, we're all wrong from time to time... unless you're a married man, then you're wrong all the time. :hihi:
