Clyde Edwards-Helaire injured

We have RBs behind CEH who can rush the ball, certainly, but my question is do we a RB who can be as effective--or at least nearly as effective--in the passing game. That is where CEH has separated himself from nearly any other RB in the entire country at the collegiate level, and it is what has added an almost unstoppable dimension to our offense. CEH can run, do pass pro, or go out on routes and catch the ball all equally well, which throws defenses off balance. How many times in crucial third down situations did we pick up a first down b/c Burrow checked down to CEH when the WRs and TE were all covered, and he was able to pick up the yard to gain? If we lose this, that could result in stalled drives and fewer points. This is my concern. Again, do we have another RB who can assume this role effectively in our offense?

With 10 days to scheme and prep, I think our young RBs will be fine. I'd be more worried about mental mistakes than anything. I don't think any are quite as slippery as CEH, but Price for sure is a powerful runner. He can get those extra 2 or 3 yards at the end of the run that way as well. And just like CEH, they won't be facing stacked boxes like Guice and LF#7 saw in their day. Teams can't play LSU that way anymore. So they should have the ball in space plenty.

Anyway, vs Oklahoma at least, I don't think our offense will have much to worry about anyway. Our passing game is going to blow that Big-12 defense up. The key to this semi-final game will be our defense vs the best offense in the best offensive conference in college football. That and Jalen Hurts... LSU's defense played like a Big-12 defense against Texas. It wasn't until the last couple of games of the season until it started playing like an SEC defense. If the later version shows up, we'll win by double digits, even without our #1 RB.
