Bobby Hebert said he hopes Eli Apple goes to IR

I agree with your point, he could have simply said something like: "given the way he's been playing, Apple's injury will hopefully equal addition by subtraction", instead Bobby just blurts out: "hey hey ya know what I hope he is on IR!". Granted this is not appropriate and he should have tried to finesse a more humane explanation. But at some level "behaving appropriately" seems like a term that applies more to mid-level managers in corporate America than it does to radio personalities. Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern, as 2 better known examples, are disgustingly "inappropriate". If they worked as Rite Aid managers, they'd be sacked on the first day, but their success among certain segments of listeners can't be denied. People love them or love to hate them, but as long as some controversy swirls around them, their ratings are always profitable for the station.

Limbaugh and Stern have national audiences discussing a wide variety of topics on a national level. Like them or not, that is their audience.

Hebert is local on a show that emphasizes the Saints for the most part, but with some LSU and Pelicans coverage. Essentially, Bobby is an arse. Saints fans deserve better from the "Flagship station of the Saints" than the self-proclaimed "Founding father of the Whodat Nation". What a crock. Bobby should have a little control of himself instead of "blurting" things out under the influence. As the true founders of the "Whodat nation", the fans deserve better. Much much better.
