The Titans game proved to me that this is the best version of Drew Brees we've ever seen

I know 2009, 2011. I get it.

But stay with me here.

I want you to go back into your collective memory banks and think of a road game that had unfavorable playing conditions and a game in which the offensive line played rather poorly. Now tell me where Drew Brees led us to 38 points and had a QB rating near 120?

I'll give you a game I actually attended back in 2011, you know the team regarded as the most prolific offense in NFL history? We went into Tampa, the offensive line struggled, and Drew Brees threw 3 interceptions to only 1 TD in a 26-20 loss. Same final score vs the Jets in 2013. He couldn't overcome it.

But here we are. The new and improved Drew Brees. Is that even possible?

Pretty incredible.
I don’t know how much he is audibling or how much he is really trying to play within himself and minimize mistakes but you can think back to games like the 2006 NFCCG in Chicago Bears on a slop field when the Drew was dropping back 5-7 steps and trying to push the ball down the field almost every play and that really played into the hands of the defense.

His precision and decision making have moved to another level last couple of years.
