The Titans game proved to me that this is the best version of Drew Brees we've ever seen

Idk if he's better than the 2011 version or the 2009 version. I'm not saying he's not. I just really don't know. I will say this:

He's smarter and throws less interceptions. (Favors 2019 version)

We don't see deep throws as much (Favors 2011/2009 version) - hopefully these stay on the rise, saw one or two lately.

He's completing a higher % of his passes (2019)

Playing better in away games (2019)

We don't see the 400+ yard games as much (2011/2009)
More prone to stretches of baffling play - ie end of 2018 (2011/2009)

So, y'all tell me... idk.
2019 Brees on pace 16 game numbers

4,800 yards
48 TDs
8 Ints

I know we like throw around the word "efficient" for the Drew of the past 3 seasons, but that is a really dynamic season.

And this team is averaging nearly 32 ppg with Brees when you exclude the Rams game. That's up there with both the 09 and 11 teams.

And just think had that been his season they would have still screwed him out of the MVP and given it to Lamar Jackson since he's the sexy story.

Can you imagine that happening?

36/6 would have beat out 48/8 after last season when 50/12 beat out 32/5.

They would have used the Michael Thomas excuse for sure..
