A look ahead to our 2020 and 2021 rosters [draft update pg 3]

When Davenport was healthy, our pass D was adequate....not great, but adequate.....Jordan and Davenport created plenty of pressure on the opposing QBs, and consequently, the secondary looked much better....save Marcus Williams and Eli Apple. These 2 struggled, but the pressure upfront masked their deficiencies. However, they got exposed every time the pressure upfront was lacking....they both can't stay with their guy in coverage.....and frankly that is the biggest problem the Saints had especially on 3rd down plays.

To me this is the biggest need the Saints have right now....bigger than the 2nd WR or OL help The Saints were unable to get off the field on 3rd downs, heck that was the primary reason they couldn't win the playoff game against the Vikes. Addressing these 2 positions is paramount!
