Johnston said, as far as he knows, the plan is still for 5G to launch in October. Of course, a lot can happen between now and then, and even if does launch, it could be an Elsewords or Time Crisis style event to make it easier to ignore. So I doubt we're free of it entirely, but maybe it takes some other less harmful shape.
