I obviously cannot give you a number, but I felt that it was moving faster than most parades I have seen. It was faster than walking speed, which is too fast IMO. A float moving that fast certainly decreased the margin of error for drunk idiots chasing lighted beads.
It was less than 10! It is a standard. And if you are rolled over at 5 mph, or 10 mph, or 100 mph (never would happen) by a float; you die!
