Any XFL players standing out that could make it back into the NFL?

Chances are almost no one will make it back to the NFL.
I respectfully disagree, although I don’t think it would be many, and the ones who do (from the current XFL rosters) won’t become Sam Mills types.

In my post above I mention that some guys could maybe be serviceable depth. A guy like Cardale Jones wants to play. He doesn’t want to carry a clip board. I think that could be an interesting twist to some guys choosing to stay in the XFL versus going to the NFL to be a deep reserve.

I also think that over time, the XFL will help some guys develop in to NFL contributors. Whether it’s getting their bodies right, or technique in order, the XFL will provide that opportunity. It’s kind of like talented baseball players who aren’t ready for MLB, getting ready in the minors.

The same happens with MMA. I was listening to a Mark Montoya (one of the games most respected trainers) talk with Pat Militich (UFC hall of famer). They were talking about some younger guys not going up (to UFC) too soon, because they would be “eaten alive”. Mark basically said you may have to turn down the offer initially, if you intend to really be successful once you get there.

The NFL is the cream of the crop. There are very talented people who might be missing one thing in their game, that makes all the difference in the world. Learning and/or sharpening those skills in the XFL may prove the difference in being an NFL camp body or a contributor,
