Honestly, I think for this to work a definitive end date needs to be given, otherwise anxiety levels rise and people freak out. I think we could do a month if that was outlined up front with a post lock-down plan.
The only way we can do a month is if Congress gives assurances of backing up businesses and individuals with the current stimulus plan. Since that's still pending, I don't see how it's possible or feasible. Only after that passes and gets signed into law should we do a one month stay at home plan for most, if not all of the country.
