Asking Cops the same questions they ask us (2 Viewers)

It reminds me of Jim turning that marijuana interview around on Dwight ?. That's how cops come across a lot of times: macho, accusatory and ridiculous.

i've worked with detectives that are fairly calm like he is. video or not. i think the officers handled this Idiocracy well.

not all police officers are total dicks.
Right.....I will never understand the stereotyping of LEO's and I would imagine those same people typically aren't fans of stereotyping but yet feel it's appropriate for LEO's.

From a guy who’s brother is NOPD and sees how he has slowly changed over the years from being a police officer it sickens me to see and hear people say they don’t like cops or don’t like the police because of the way they act. If you walked a day in the Shoes of the 99% of theM that are good caring human beings and saw the absolute stupidity and hatred of mankind maybe you would realize that you are ignorant to what they actually have to do and deal with. I mean teachers molest children, sleep with underaged kids, are blatantly racist, show favoritism and manipulate kids into thinking how they think among many other really terrible things but you never hear people say they hate teachers or don’t really care for them, that they abuse their power. No we are told that they are underpaid and are amazing. I’ve had enough of this shirt and it’s now antagonizing police to get a response.
what teachers carry guns and have the authority to kill you?

Rambo I & II are legendary to me. Yea, I'm a GenXer born in the early seventies. :D

The background music makes every scene more dramatic. Love those movies.

Good interview on the Scott Horton Show discussing qualified immunity and the police.
I think a major reason why people have unfavorable attitudes towards the police is the lack of accountability they have through legal protections like qualified immunity.

Patrick Jaicomo of the Institute for Justice discusses the (brief) history of the “qualified immunity” doctrine, which makes it very difficult for civilians to sue government agents for constitutional rights violations. Jaicomo breaks down the different types of legal immunity, and the ways in which it’s still possible, sometimes, to seek redress for unjust killings, thefts, and other abuses by government officials. Usually, however, the state protects its own, at the expense of ordinary citizens.

How can you be a good cop who's letting bad cops break the law? My father was a BRPD officer for over 3 decades as well.

This guy was obviously way over the top and pretty silly, but the point he makes is legit. I've had friends that were police officers that acted like a douche when anyone ever dared questions the almighty LEO. The reason the 1% of crappy cops get away with it is because the 99% stick up for them pretty much no matter what.

All that being said, this was hilarious and I LOL'd quite a bit.

And let's all remember, police stations are public property so there's that.

I'll just say this.....huh? No idea how stereotyping cops= good cops letting bad cops break the law.

We hear the "99% (Or most) cops are good, there are just a few bad ones"
Well if most of them are good, it should not be hard for them to police themselves and get the bad ones out. We also hear stories of bad cops where the so called good cops know the things they are doing but didn't do anything to stop them.

This is where the thinking comes in, that if good cops knew these "bad cops" are doing illegal things and didn't do anything about it, well they can't really be called good cops either, especially if they would not think twice about arresting you or me for the same things they are seeing "bad cop" doing.

Then going by that same rationale 99% of the people that live in the hood must all be terrible people also because they allow the people around them to do terrible things. Got it. That's how stereotyping works.
