he was fantastic himself. As a teacher he taught not only his sons (who probably eclipsed him in terms of fame) but also guys like Harry Connick and Terrance Blanchard. He left a serious mark on the music world in general.
Three years ago (I think but maybe only 2) he and Allen Toussaint did back to back shows at the FQF. Something happened and I didn't get to go as planned. That is something I guess I will always regret now.
