Cajun Cannon out and Drew Brees in working with Jim Mora

Thinking objectively here. Mora would of been too conservative to allow Brees to develop into the quarterback he is today. People need to remember that Hebert was a pretty good quarterback in the USFL. He had some nice deep throws in that league. People may have criticize Bobby for his play but I will say 75 percent of Bobby's poor plays sometimes need to go the Mora's play calling. With Mora making the call, I am really doubt Brees would be allow to do the things he is doing now. But replace Mora with Payton, we will be talking a different game. Mora has always been my favorite coach and the right coach for that era.

Agreed 100%. And we know exactly what type of QB Brees would've been in such a system. Just look at his QB play under Schottenheimer, playing "Marty Ball" in San Diego. Now slide that Brees sideways into a Smith-led offense on a Mora team. Seamless transition, IMO.
