But think of it as 2 players. He fills the position of 2 players, QB2 AND Joker 1 and we’re paying him 21M to fill both instead of paying 2 other people to fill both of those rolls.
That's not as bad a way to think of it. QB2 takes no snaps and makes 5 mil/yr. Limited Joker snaps makes 5 mil/yr.
I still see two problems with that though.
1. If he ever has to fill his QB2 role he then loses the Joker role. He can only ever fill one role at a time.
2. You have to have assets in another QB2 type guy because of the risk. Plus assume other guys can step up snaps to fill his Joker snaps.
