The Taysom Hill deal was for 21 million dollars!

If no other teams were interested then how did he leverage the Saints into paying him $17,000,000 for one extra year?

I don't think he "leveraged" the Saints...I don't think the Saints are desperate enough to be at the mercy of Hill and his "potential" especially when again a franchise QB drops in their hands in Winston, if anything is say the Football gods keep smiling on the saints by having Franchise ready QB in their prime becoming available as they trasition from a franchise QB in Drew Brees, the only team I can see as fortunate were the 49ers from the 80's (Montana to Young) and the Packers and Colts respectively from Farve to Rodgers and Manning to Luck.
