No. It says its a $21 million deal with $16 million guaranteed and another $1 million in incentives. The "another $1 million" refers to in addition to the $16 million guaranteed, not to the $21 million. Anyway, this is silly and doesn't really matter. He costs what he costs. We have the money and we are a better team with him this year than without him. And if he costs $16 million next year, that may be high for an unproven starting QB, but it's only for one year and it leaves the Saints options wide open after that.

As far as having the money, wait until you see our cap position for next year. Once they add in Taysom we should be a good 20-25mil over the projected cap. I think 13 would fall off if Drew retires. Hopefully some restructures are built in because we’re going to need them.
