The Taysom Hill deal was for 21 million dollars!

Every single one of those QBs except for Josh Allen you named was a much more effective player in college, against tougher competition, than Taysom Hill was.

Every single one of those players makes better decisions with the football and has shown a much higher football IQ at the quarterback position than Taysom Hill.

Lamar and Watson were first round picks for a reason. Because NFL scouts saw their production and their ability and said "that's an NFL quarterback". Hundreds of scouts watched Taysom Hill's extensive tape, and they decided that he was not an NFL quarterback to the tune of passing on him 255 times.

Him lighting it up in preseason and throwing one terribly underthrown ball to Deonte Harris in the playoffs doesn't change any of that. He has never in his life shown the ability to be an effective quarterback at a high level.

He has, as you mentioned, shown intangibles and the ability to be a great weapon. However that has absolutely nothing to do with playing QB.

You are right, but you are missing my analogy... Right now Taysom has proven more at the NFL level of competition than any rookie QB that has come out this year... or any that have not played NFL competition at this point... and the same people that would use Taysom's lack of experience playing QB at the NFL level (playing behind the best of all time) as a reason to downplay him... would not do so for a 1st round pick of the Saints at QB even though he had not picked up an NFL football yet.

And he's thrown way more passes in the regular season / post season than just the one underthrow to Harris against the Vikes (which was completed for 50 yards and resulted in a TD on the next play)... I posted some of his regular season throws that were money / beautiful... specifically one to MT13 from the pocket with pressure in his face for a ~20 yard completion in tight sideline cover for a toe drag swag... not sure why people keep bringing up this one throw as a "bad thing" (50 yard completion - coming in cold - in a playoff game - that resulted ultimately in 6 pointa).

That was my point. It's an unfair assessment, and Taysom has proven waaaay more already. My comparison to guys like Allen, Russ, and Lamar are mainly for the "style of offense we run" detractors.
