COVID-19 Outbreak (Update: More than 2.9M cases and 132,313 deaths in US)

I hope we focus more on antibody testing. it lets us know just how many have actually been infected and were pretty much asymptomatic, gives us a better indication of the true mortality rate, and also can let us work toward a herd immunity.

Again, we still don't know how effective having antibodies will be in preventing reinfection. I'm hoping it works, but there are some concerning signs that it may not work or that it's effectiveness may be limited. And if that's the case, I suspect that gonna make coming up with a vaccine really hard. These things mutate often enough to possibly render vaccines highly ineffective. It's a similar reason flu vaccines change every year based on forecasting which strain will be most widespread.
