Jameis Winston reacts to Tom Brady signing with Tampa Bay

When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reportedly agreed March 17 to sign New England Patriots free agent quarterback Tom Brady, the writing was on the wall for Jameis Winston. Three days later, the Bucs announced the Brady transaction — a two-year deal worth $50 million guaranteed and $9 million in incentives, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter — and Winston was officially on his way out as he looked for a new landing spot.

Winston, the 2015 NFL Draft's No. 1 overall pick and the Bucs' five-year starter through the end of the 2019 season, signed Tuesday with the New Orleans Saints. Surprisingly, he chose to spend his sixth season in the league as a backup for the Saints and veteran quarterback Drew Brees rather than get paid more and be a starter elsewhere.
