I know that you guys mean well and are defending the mayor's contact tracing idea in good faith, and I've been drinking Modelo Especials since 6 pm because of a faux American ethnic "holiday," but the idea of businesses logging every customer who enters their premises for any reason and providing that information to the government is about as creepy as it gets. If I owned a business I would tell the mayor to pound sand. Once the government deputizes private business owners to stop citizens and collect information on its behalf I check out. Y'all are going to turn me into an insufferable libertarian butt crevasse.

May I suggest dropping the alcohol and start smoking weed? It will certainly curb that obnoxious stupor alcohol gives folks.

As to the issue, as others have pointed out, you give your info each time you use your debit or credit card. If the GUBMNET wanted, they could just pull the records electronically but THAT would be construed as some sort of over reach too.

So they are appealing to your humanity (or what's left of it post Modelos) if you ain't got none, that's on you. Pay cash, give em a fake name. Don't care. But rest assured, giving your name at a biz should be really low on your list of things to worry about moving forward.
