I just watched Maryland Governor Larry Hogan's very detailed press conference in which he addressed re-opening the state in phases. Hogan stated that because of the good trends regarding hospitalizations, testing, and ICU cases, the state is on course to lift some restrictions on May 15 if the current trends continue. He continually referred to "Our Public Health experts" and "our plans" and how he was informed by those in the medical profession that there will be a trial in the hardest-hit areas of a new vaccine. He touched on the importance of testing in my area (poultry production) and how the testing goals were being accomplished.
In the 20 minutes I watched, Governor Hogan stressed the importance of unity, and he never, not once, uttered the words "I", "Me" or "Mine". Larry Hogan has my unqualified support.
