How Much is Sean Payton Going to Use Deonte Harris as WR this Year?

I think we will see Deonte Harris a lot more on offense this year and for years to come. Being his size you have to be a tough little bugger and having the ability to return kicks which is a spot were like 11 guys are coming for your head you have to be tough.

We’ve seen small guys have success in this league. We all know Darren Sproles who was 5’6” 190ish and had a great career. Steve Smith was 5’9” 185 and had a great career. Wes Welker is another receiver that was only 5’9” 185 and he didn’t have that burning speed Harris has. Desean Jackson is taller at 5’10”, but really light in the tail around 175ish. And our own Tommylee Lewis is only 5’7” 168ish, so if he could be used in this offense than Harris can be effectively

Tyreek Hill is also small guy listed at 5’10”, but I think he’s much shorter than that. Trindon Holliday is another return guy at 5’5” 165 who had a decent career as just a returner. Tarik Cohen is only 5’6” 178 and he’s playing snaps at scat back. Jacquizz Rodgers was another small back at 5’6” and Jakeem Grant is another small return man at 5’7” for the Dolphins.

Small players have been effective in this league. It’s just can they absorb the hits and so far Harris has been able to do that. I think he can be a poor man’s Tyreek Hill or Tariq Cohen kind of weapon for the team as the 4th or 5th receiver.
