Its really strict Chuck. If you are a resident you have to stay in your home. If you are a tourist you have to stay in your vacation rental or hotel room. The only valid reason to leave is for medical emergencies. Not even for food. The fine for violation is 5000 and up to a year in jail. They have arrested several people so far on each island. One couple was arrested several times and finally the police drove them to the airport and basically evicted them from the state. It angered a lot of people because the state actually paid for their return flights.
