COVID-19 Outbreak (Update: More than 2.9M cases and 132,313 deaths in US)

I'm sure they are. I mean, many probably get into medicine because they actually do want to help people. And then med school gives them a god complex. But, I mean, if we don't listen to doctor's and scientists, who should we listen to on issues involving science and medicine? I mean, I know the answer isn't lawyers and most politicians are lawyers.

And at least you know that doctors at least have your best interest in mind even if they are overprotective. I can guarantee you that isn't the case with lawyers or politicians.

If it was up to many of my doctor friends I’m convinced that we’d NEVER reopen. Many are convinced that we must uphold strict social distancing at its current level until COVID is eradicated. Seeing people starve in the streets from hunger be damned. It’s not based on science...it’s based on fear, wishful thinking, inability to accept difficult truths, and their own personal bias. God love them...they do care about people...but in a short-sighted, narrow focused type of way.
