Yeah. One thing that sort of never gets talked about when we talk about 2009 is that Favre could have easily run for the first down. That throw was a huge mistake. The Vikings really had control of that game at that point and Favre made a terrible, terrible decision. Somehow it's bounced off of his legacy for the most part, but it was a choke job.

He was scared to run because bounties. Don't care, had Super Bowl.

Even if we hadn't hit him, he's have found a way to blow it somehow. Terrible decisions are the sine qua non of Brett Favre in the playoffs.

Years ago, the great Ray Ratto (SF either Chronicle or Examiner) run a column of pretty much nothing but a brief into about Favre's glorious reputation and then a list of the game situations of eight playoff losses in which Favre had essentially thrown a game-losing pick in the last seven minutes.
