Tough one there for a HOF TE. I mean, even though this is before WR turned TE's were a thing, this guy caught what, 500+ passes in the NFL. He kinda knew what he was doing.
And instead of tied 21-21 after 3 quarters, we end up with the Steelers having the ball, up 21-17 and they would go on to score a TD that drive to get to 28-17 and take almost complete control of the first Super Bowl to feature a rematch.
If Smith catches the ball, it doesn't even come close to ensuring a different outcome of the game, but it does alter the entirety of that 4th quarter, which most likely would have been one for the ages.
