Great memories....

I remember that day like it was just yesterday. I was watching the game at home with my wife and I was pretty down that the Falcons were up 28-3 in the third. My wife tells me to just turn it off because the Falcons are most likely going to win. I look her dead in her eyes and tell her “babe, it ain’t over until it’s over”. At this point I’ve already had quite a few beers in me as the comeback began and unfortunately for my wife I became a loud obnoxious Pats fan throughout the rest of the game. It honestly felt almost as good as the Saints winning the Super Bowl and it wouldn’t have felt that good without the epic meltdown. Great memories!
I know exactly what you mean. When the Saints were sealing away the victory in SB44, I couldn't wait to pull up the SuperBowl thread on the Falcons Forum to read the meltdown firsthand so I could add to the joy I was already feeling! When the score was 28-3 in SB51, I remember the funk I was in while watching the mid part of the 3rd quarter and thinking about how the Atlanta fans were going to be trying to pile it on by trolling the SSF. When the Patriots completed the miraculous comeback I actually was resurrected from my funk. I was almost ashamed of myself for feeling so happy.

I did say, "almost". :hihi:
