7, 8, 9? Were you high when you watched those? 7 is bearable despite being an obvious rehash/ripoff of the original film, but 8 and 9 make the Prequels seem like masterpieces - and the prequels are terrible. I think episodes 2, 8, and 9 are so bad they are unbearable to watch. My daughter got nearly halfway through 9 before she said she couldn't take any more, declaring that "unbelievably" it was even worse than episode 8.

yes. well again I didn't grow up on the movies, one is the only one I saw. So I didn't have a huge attachment to the characters or the story (so staying true to the story wasn't as important to me) For me "Luke I am your father" is still Tommy Boy lol. And I am not a huge SciFi guy. Admittedly 8 was pretty week. But I did like the way they did Luke's role. 7, I liked the fact that they stepped out of previous molds. I thought personalizing a Storm Trooper was cool. None in the series are as good as the Mandolorian though. And I felt Rogue One was probably better than the rest too. No neat happy ending etc. And no I was not high and therein could lie the problem.
