Deonte Harris is apparently...

No surprise to me. I raved about Deonte after we signed him last year. I watched his vids, but also read about what former LSU K Cole Tracy, who played wit Deonte at Assumption College, said about him:

“The coaches and scouts who spoke to Tracy at the combine wanted to know about Harris, and Tracy kept coming back to one line: He got to see some spectacular things in his one season at LSU, but Harris did some things he did not see anybody else do.

It’s the way he starts and stops, the way he sets up his blocks and reacts in real time. It was one of those things that, once you see it, you realize it is different from the way everyone else does it.“

Along wit his record 14 return TDS, Harris also had about 2800 yds as a receiver in college. So I felt he definitely had ability as a WR, but it would take a lil time. I was hoping SP would give him a chance to play a lil more there as the season went on, n he did!

Now, with his rookie year under his belt- and being named 1st team All Pro as a returner- I expect Harris to develop more as a both a returner AND receiver. I look forward to cyn him bein stronger, faster, n more confident, makin an even bigger impact this season!

I see him becoming much stronger and faster as well. I think an NFL strength and conditioning program is going to be huge for this kid. At small colleges many of these kids have no $ and are without the food budget and free workout supplements these bigger schools get handed out like candy. I remember hearing a story about Hollywood Brown for the Ravens was living off of Ramen Noodles before he got to the University of Oklahoma. We have yet to see even close to the best of Harris which is scary because this kid has already shown some flashes on offense of what he can be while giving us arguably the best returner in the NFL for the next 10+ years. He reminds me of a mixture with Hollywood Brown and Tyreke Hill. This kid really is special.
