Saints Rush Hour: Success & Winning in the Rushing Attack
OK, what am I missing:
" On Monday night, Kamara (at 49 games) can set
the 50 career game touchdown mark for a running back. He can surpass Hall of Famers Marcus Allen
(16), Steve Van Buren
(16) and tie or pass Larry Johnson
(18) with two of more touchdowns. "
Just before that, " In
40 career games, [Kamara] has 5,033 scrimmage yards and
44 touchdowns. "
What are the numbers in parenthesis and just what is the record for 50 career games? And how many TD's does Kamara have already going into the MNF game?
ETA: According to this
https://www.nfl.com/players/alvin-kamara/stats/career , AK now has
45 TDs including
7 TD's this season (Total of
49 games played). Which doesn't jive with the above of 44 TD's after 40 games. NOTE: One of AK's TD's was a KO return in 2017, so maybe they are not counting that, but... the numbers in the article still don't jive.
ETA2: the 5,033 scrimmage yards mentioned above are after 49 games! Soo, the "40 career games" mentioned above must be a typo and should read "49 games."
Thus... the 50 game record would be 45 touchdowns from scrimmage.
Whew!
