Colston was an underrated athlete based on his size. But he was more of a glider. He rarely ran his routes at full speed...he just had such good body control and route running that he was able to create enough separation to win contested passes. Callaway is definitely a quicker guy than Colston...but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's unfair to compare Callaway to Colston, because Colston was one of the great receivers in franchise history. Heck, it would have been unfair to even compare a rookie Michael Thomas to Colston early on. But you definitely see the traits, work-ethic, and humble way of doing business that draws comparisons.
