I agree it's not food. But, to the extent that it is America, it's the really nasty and bad part of America. It's the symbol of America's sinking into mediocrity, imitation of what we were, and living on past glory.
Although to be fair, I think we are now reading way to much into what amounts to a huge amount of preservatives and pink slime on what could not even be called bread in Ireland.
