I have to eat crow

Amazing draft:

In the first round, the New Orleans Saints selected cornerback Marshon Lattmore from Ohio State. Lattimore went on to have 52 tackles, 18 pass deflections and five interceptions in his rookie campaign which landed him as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Tackle Ryan Ramczyk was selected in the first round as the 32nd pick from Wisconsin. Ramczyk was an opening-game starter who played every offensive snap and was pivotal in the success of the offensive line, which suffered multiple injuries.

Safety Marcus Williams was selected in the second round as the 42nd pick and was an opening-game starter who had four interceptions and 57 tackles.

Running back Alvin Kamara was the biggest steal from the third round. Kamara was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and scored a franchise rookie record 14 touchdowns. Kamara and Mark Ingram went on to make running back history for the Saints by tallying more than 1,500 yards each.

Linebacker Alex Anzalone was selected in the third round and started the first four games before a shoulder injury ended his season.

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson was also a third-round selection who went on to have two sacks and forced a fumble. Defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad was the final pick up in the sixth-round and played in four games during the 2017 season.

Been saying for a while, that's the kind of draft that can win you a Super Bowl.......just like 2006 eventually did for us.

Makes me sympathize a bit with Al-Quadin Muhammad, being literally the one guy on that draft list that isn't still actively contributing to the team. And even he got some playing time in 2017....... Whereas we had 2 players from that epic 2006 draft who never saw the field in the regular season, as far as I remember.

We could even throw Taysom in there as an honorary 2017 draft pick, since we stole him away from Green Bay's practice squad as a rookie.
