Can we forfeit a game? (1 Viewer)

Adding to the possible reasons why, what if a team has the #1 seed in their conference and the bye already locked up by the last week, and the team they're scheduled to play has an outbreak? That team would already be benching their stars/starters anyway, right? That game obviously might affect draft order, possibly other seeding in the playoffs, etc. But to the OP's point, does a team have the "right" to no show via the excuse of "protecting our players and staff from Covid?" It's an interesting thought.

Before you crucify me realize this is just a curiosity and I'm a bunch of fantastic Miller lites into my Friday. I'm just wondering if our end game is a superbowl win and we're getting ready to play a team cancelling practice due to covid cases. If we wanted too could we forfeit this game and move onto the next one?

“fantastic Miller lites”??????
Ouch.
I’ll save you some money, have plenty of horses on my ranch who can piss in a bottle for ya.
You’ll just have to pay shipping. 😉

I have never seen the Saints beat the Broncos in my lifetime. We gotta play. We gotta win.
Not in my lifetime. :) This was a curb stomp and I was in the dome. This Denver team went on to play in the SB. It goes to show
how much better the NFC was during that era.

Correction: This Denver team did not go on to play in the SB, this was 1988, SF and Cinci played in the SB at the end if this season. However, they were the defending AFC champs.

Think that’s the last time I’ve seen them beat the Broncos too.

I stand corrected. I was thinking this was the Broncos team that lost 55-10 to the Niners.

Are you hurting financially or otherwise such that you'd need to drink Miller lite?
