Saints vs. Officiating: Can Saints Reconcile this Love-Hate Relationship before the Playoffs?

This seems like a great place to drop this....

While looking at Offense Holding only; the Saints have a whopping 171 plays beyond the LOS (sacks, TFL, and QB Hits) while getting the "benefit" of eight (8) penalties for holding ((of which only 5 were accepted)). That's 21.4 backfield plays per penalty.

The Saints have allowed 117 plays in the backfield but received nineteen (19) holding penalties ((of which 14 were accepted)). That's a penalty rate of 6.2 backfield plays per penalty.

If you go with just the "accepted" Offense Holding Penalties the rate becomes.... 34.2 -to- 8.4

Still a stunning difference when comparing apples-to-apples; same game, same field conditions, same officials.

Still even more stunning'er; the Saints executed forty-two (42) plays in the Etlanta backfield and benefitted from zero (0) offensive holding penalties. The Failcon's O-Line played a statically perfect game against our hyper-aggressive defenders flooding through their LOS.

In a pig's eye....
This is fantastic work.
