What I find kind of curious is that there are a lot of countries that have very little cases. Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Taiwan, etc. have not done lockdowns to the extremes like USA.
This is incorrect. I live in Australia (Victoria) and for a period of three months when our numbers were bad, we were only allowed outside of the house for one hour per day with mandatory face masks. Plus state borders were largely closed. Our lockdown (and New Zealand’s for that matter) was much stricter and swifter than anything any state in the US has done. And now where I live we’ve had like one new case in 55 days.
