I’m going to say one thing more as to not elevate this further. But if I was one of those people you talk about, seeing your lax attitude towards this, I would be very very concerned. I’m not saying that to insult you I’m just saying to you if you as a leader think these lax things in regard to Covid are okay and you condone those actions, whether an “entertainer” and athlete or an employee, that I would be very concerned with your definition of leadership.
You as a leader can agree that if you have hundreds of people your responsible for, you probably, as their leader, shouldn’t be going out of your way(during Covid) to take unnecessary risks that could potentially result in I dunno, say infections on the people that rely on you?
I think what’s lost in this is if he just got it you know and that’s not something to be upset about. But based on what’s been posted, it looks like he messed up. Regardless of if he is on the team or not the issue in him messing up is there. There is too much of this in the USA.
leadership is doing what’s right no matter the sacrifice. That’s what character and leadership is. I’m glad to hear you have people relying on you. Just because he’s a football player doesn’t make the mistake more or less I would have said the same thing to one of the people that work for me or that I coach.
