Oh. I didn’t know about the no-trade clause. Means Watson can demand a trade to wherever he wants. If he wants to be a Saint (and who wouldn’t?) we’d be nuts not to go get him.
I think the issue is that we won’t have nearly the assets to make it happen. This really should be the move Miami makes. They have a ton of picks (including Houston’s own), Tua and a couple other young players who could entice Houston.
This would actually be the way for Houston to hit reset, albeit without the one piece any franchise needs.
