The Mandalorian discussion thread

When I was a kid (this initial part is somewhat unrelated), I remember having my eyes swell shut after rubbing my face at O'Henry's b/c of the peanut shells all over the place. Not much was thought of it, (I was kept away from peanuts after that, and yes, I know they're legumes), until a summer trip in Colombia when the whole extended family went to a beach resort.

My aunt had a container of nuts and decided to pass them around to all of us cousins as a snack, and I remember grabbing a cashew b/c its shape resembled a banana. After eating it, think of Veruca Salt inflating but me being the red version (I started going into full-on anaphylaxis). After getting a shot of epinephrine by the resort Dr., as soon as I got stateside, my parents took me to see an allergist.

(Cue the relevance)

I was given the skin prick back test with a bunch of different allergens and the one that showed the 2nd largest area of reactivity behind cashews was mango. So, since then, I avoid mango like I try to do covid, as injecting an epi pen SUCKS. I've had to do so 2x in my whole life as I'm careful as hell when ordering out depending on the menu, and I ALWAYS ask about nuts before eating almost any dessert. You have to jab an epi pen in your thigh, and the needle is pretty long, so it hurts like a mother.
