Still doesn't justify anyone saying that the OL was not good. They were ranked the 2nd best unit in the league for two years in a row. That ranking isn't based on pass protection alone. It's just easy to throw that out there to somehow try to make Brees look better when it's not necessary. It's not necessary to find fault with other aspects of the team to elevate Brees yet many fans do it.

This discussion evolved from the number of sacks that Taysom and Jameis took. They took sacks at rates significantly greater than Brees took. It's a simple stat comparison. There is no reaching or maliciously trying to make other parts of the team look bad. An offensive line is going to appear better when the QB reads the defense well, makes adjustments, and gets the ball out quickly, That isn't really up for debate.
