When I was in high school, a friend put some kind of molding wax in his hair to make a funny hair styles, until it dried and stuck like concrete. I wasn't there, but another friend said they tried just about everything they could find to a way to soften it.. finally he had to go to the hospital because his scalp was in pain. I don't remember how they fixed it, but his new hair style was bald for a little while... I am sure he is really glad we didn't have social media then.
